LATEST NEWS
Here we present some of the issues of concern to members of the Assembly.

Still More New Scrolls in the Library
I'm pleased to announce that a further two spells are now available from the Assembly Library for your thaumatological pleasure.
Greater Fire Ward (GFW) - 100 gp
Monster Summoning 2 (MS2) - 150 gp

My thanks to Lady Ygraine for GFW and to the Archmage himself for MS2.

Guild Lodges and Assembly Deputy in Frontier
I am pleased to announce that the Assembly now has a permanent presence in the Frontier in the shape of a Guild Lodge (not a hut, I'll have you know, but a lodge) in Bordertown, and another in Frontier’s other major settlement, River Valley Village.

To my knowledge, both these establishments offer the same services as a Berenian Guild Hall.

The establishment of these facilities is primarily thanks to the efforts of Esmerelda Syron, and in recognition of this I am appointing Esmerelda as a formal deputy guild leader of the Assembly, with responsibility for the Guild's activities in Frontier. On questions of Guild policy and membership in Frontier (and as an example of the later is whether the Assembly will accept natives of Frontier as members), I shall seek Esmerelda's recommendation.

It is my hope that with a office-holder of the Guild 'on the ground' in Frontier, we will be better able to take advantage of the opportunities for new knowledge offered by this new land, will be better able to offer support to our members there, and will be better able to support the interests of Bereny there.

Esmerelda, congratulations on your appointment. I look to you to pursue the Assembly's interests in Frontier, and keep me informed of progress.

TTI and TTM
Word has reached The Assembly that the spells TTI (Teleport to Icehaunt) and TTM (Teleport to Mirrormane) may cease to function soon. Please ensure that you don’t place yourself in the position of relying on these spells.

Issue Nine of The Assembly Hall is now available, and can be downloaded here [PDF, 692 kB]. This issue continues the trend for each issue being a bit bigger than the previous one, and includes the latest on the KLT mission, plus some background, a report on what has been going on in Daemonrift, some information on Cryomancy, the first ever map of the *other* Safe Haven, the promised up-to-date list of what is available from the library, and a load of other goodies.

Mission to Kreskin-Lal’s Tower
The mission to Kreskin-Lal’s Tower, organised by the Centaur Council, is preparing to depart from Icehaunt Catacombs. An Assembly contingent of nine members is going to be accompanying the expedition. In most cases our members will be riding on the back of one of the CC’s centaurs.

Congratulations to The Regent
To His Highness, Duke Dirk Steadfast, Regent of Bereny.
Sire, please accept the heartfelt congratulations of Arch-Mage Sylvester and the entire membership of the Assembly Guild, upon your decision to formalise your position and assume the Crown.

Centaur Council to seek Kreskin-Lal’s Tower
The Centaur Council has announced that they have eliminated the lair of the Dark Centaurs which have recently been terrorising the Crownheart-Lionel region. The Evil Centaur Lord Noir was slain by CC Guild Leader Chaldan Ironhoof personally in hand-to-hand combat in his throne room. The Assembly extends its congratulations to the Centaur Council and also, of course, to our deputy leader Dame Saloma Perdue, who accompanied the centaurs. We should also take a minute to remember Assembly Mage Ximines, who lost his life on the mission.

Chaldan Ironhoof has announced that the Centaur Council’s next objective will be to reveal the secrets of Kreskin-Lal’s Tower, rumoured to lie far to the SW of Hasjan. It is of course Kreskin-Lal who unleashed the Necrotic Plague, which has left the males of the elven race so weak and debilitated, although this is only one of the many legends attributed to this fabled evil mage. This will not be the first time that an expedition has sought out Kreskin-Lal’s Tower, but no previous attempt to discover its secrets has succeeded.

The Centaur Council has invited other Guild’s to send representatives on the mission and I am giving serious consideration to leading a contingent from The Assembly myself. If anyone else is interested in accompanying such a mission, please let me know.

Potions now available in Safe Haven
I am now set up to be able to deliver potions to Assembly members in Safe Haven.  I can also sell them out of my Estate. I currently have Healing, Copper, and Iron.

Please let me know if anyone wants these types or some other types, and we can agree how much is a fair price.  Quantities are limited right now until I get my delivery system up to speed.
