Horseshoes (B-650) Cost - 60 GPs

Horseshoes are iron fixings that are attached to a centaur’s (or to a horse's) hooves to make travel more comfortable for them when travelling on varied terrain types. Grants a movement bonus of +4. Horseshoes will eventually become worn (3% chance per turn) which reduces the centaur’s move points by 4. The next stage is ruined which reduces the movement by 10.

 

Repair horseshoes (B-1636) Cost - 30 GPs

A trader may offer a blacksmiths service to repair damaged horseshoes. Being reshod restores the +4 movement bonus of horseshoes.

 

Leather Saddle  (B-653) Cost - 90 GPs

Used on a horse, a saddle makes riding easier and more comfortable for the rider, and grants a small armour bonus to the horse. Although a centaur can wear a saddle, and this will benefit a rider the centaur is carrying, many will refuse to do so as it gives the impression that we are beasts of burden rather than a intelligent race. However a centaur that does wear a saddle will benefit from the armour bonus.
