Day tasks on reserves are organised on about one Sunday a month. Volunteers coming out should bring a packed lunch, waterproofs, wellies, and working gloves, as the weather cannot be guaranteed, and tasks can be muddy. Tools and training in their use, will be provided. Transport to the work site will be provided from the Ely Market Square ( we meet by the Powerhouse Showroom) departing at 10 a.m. and leaving the site at 4 p.m. approx. (Come for a half day if you want ). If volunteers wish to go to the site directly, please tell the organiser beforehand so that we can allow tools for them.
All meetings are open to members of the public. Meeting place for Sunday tasks is outside the Powerhouse showroom, Ely Market Square at 10 a.m. Come for as long as you wish. Please bring packed lunch, old shoes or wellingtons.
Insurance
We are affiliated to The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, a national charity, from whom we obtain our insurance policy.
A Reminder to all volunteers to make sure that their tetanus inoculations are up to date
