We took the children to Portsmouth. They stayed in a hotel with a babysitter whilst Eddie and I went to the gig. In the afternoon we saw the tour bus and the boys met the band. Iain and Kris posed for the lovely photo you can see here. Alex was more interested in the bus however. Another great gig, although Justin seemed to be having trouble with his voice and was sucking cough sweets. He was also having problems with his shoes - the laces had broken. Well I wasn't going to miss an obvious cue like that! "You should have had a spare pair of laces!" I shouted. I was then called "You obscurist, you!" by Justin.
Being a port, Buddy started the evening off with all sorts of jokes about sailors and seamen, and this theme was carried through the gig. There was also a guy who had flown in from California with a crowd of his mates for his Stag Night! So Justin was making quips like "Don't do it!" - the guy must have been either mad, a Delobsessive (anyone know anyone called Peter from California?) or maybe he worked for the record company. Anyway, I'm sure he had a stag night to remember!
Afterwards was a little scary though - we all went for a a kebab, but there were police riot vans all over the place. We didn't see anything untoward, but obviously there was SOMETHING going on.

We weren't allowed to take photos at either Poole or Oxford, but here is a photo taken AFTER the Oxford gig. We met up beforehand in a wonderful pub recommended by Yvonne - where we partook of mulled wine and toasted marshmallows - which really got the evening off to a great start!
