LISTEN TO BUNTY BAGSHAW

and on the cover of TV Times, stolen from www.vintagetimes.org.uk

Bunty, who has above autographed a copy of one of her books (see background) is the presenter of the Dawn patrol programme on Radio 2, Monday to Friday, 6am to 7.30am, immediately before an honorary knight takes over. Early June 2005 was an exciting time for her - firstly she was voted one of the top thirty most powerful people on British Radio by a Radio Times panel (albeit eleven places below the mighty Clive Bull, see a bit about him on the bottom of the page), but then to cap it all she was awarded the MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List. Well done on both counts! Bunty has had a publication dedicated to her for many years now.

The soundbite comes from 7 May 2008, my reaction to a story the previous day about someone putting their tissues away in the fridge by mistake!

And as for her friend's, it's best viewed from down a salt mine (or failing that, in the Crowborough caves). Hmm..

Well, we are Radio 2 fans in the morning, but in the evening it has to be LBC! The following comes from the "Editor" section of the Guardian on 24 September 1999. (LBC has now moved to 97.3FM)
