Porthtowan Village
Porthtowan is a great holiday destination for families, walkers and beach enthusiasts alike. It is popular all year round and an ideal holiday base, with Pubs, Bistro and enough shops for your holiday needs, including food delivered to the apartment if you don't feel like cooking. The seaside resort combines a sandy beach, rock pools, sand dunes and cliffs. It is sheltered but with some of the best waves in Cornwall. Lifeguards patrol the beach in summer. Behind the sand dunes there is a large grassy play area and a fenced children's playground. Beach-side shops include surf board hire, souvenirs and an ice cream parlour. At low tide the beach extends all the way to Chapel Porth, providing miles of open, sandy beach. The Cornwall Coastal path passes the entrance to the apartments giving access to long cliff-top walks. The Eden Project, Truro, Falmouth, St Ives and Lands End are a short drive away. Nearby attractions include Flambards, a theme park with something for everyone. Numerous smaller parks, mine tours and plenty more are close by.
