During 1916 the Battery was located mainly in the vicinity of Bèthune, moving briefly to Laventie on the Neuve Chapelle front in July. March 1917 saw several changes of position in anticipation of the battle for Vimy Ridge, which the Heavies supported, after which they returned to the Bèthune area.

By June 1917 the Battery had moved to the Ypres area where its actions included the bombardment of Wytschaete Ridge. Later in June the Battery re-located to Nieuport Bains where it remained for 5 months. By the end of 1917 the Heavies had reached Buyscherre close to St Omer.
