| Having missed out on foreign travel in 2005, we decided
to start 2006 by fulfilling a long-term wish to visit Egypt. We booked a

4th January - Luxor - Le Meridien Hotel Arrival at Luxor was a bit of a culture shock at first and we were surprised to find it much hotter and more humid than we had expected. We were very pleased with the hotel, which is built round a courtyard, which we show on the left, and overlooks the Nile, with its own moorings. |
