Given the
unavailability of key players throughout the season our performance was not
unexpected. Although more than half the
participants played above their current grading the average grading fell from
1588 to 1550 a slightly disappointing statistic.
As has been the
situation over recent years attendance of, and
accessibility to, members makes promotion unlikely in the foreseeable future.

Difficulties with
fixtures had caused problems as had the lack of some more experienced players
and there was some discussion about whether or not to continue to participate
in the division next year.
Juniors have done
well this year with Daniel McAteer, Ulugbak Abdurahmanov and Lisa Flaherty competing at
national level. Derek had coached
Kilsyth BB to the national finals where they lost to the British Champions and
Holy Cross primary to the Scottish Primary Team finals.

did we not finish bottom of the first division (that dubious honour went to

propose that we withdraw from the Central allegro league. If we wish to retain
an Allegro team I suggest we should enter the
Dumbarton and District League
