Adult Volunteers (appointments from 20 years of age with varying upper age limits).

Your skills make the difference... Make it happen...

Adult Progression

You will probably begin as a Civilian Instructor. You will teach whatever subjects from our syllabus you are interested in - there are over 20.

Later you may wish to go into uniform as an adult Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) and become trained to teach drill and weapon training. You will start as a Sergeant, ATC, and progress to Flight Sergeant, ATC, to Warrant Officer, ATC.

Of the 1000+ ATC Units in the United Kingdom they are all run by officers commissioned in the Training Branch of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. After a qualifying period civilian instructors and ATC NCO's can be recommended for a commission in this branch. If successful you will become more involved in the management of your Squadron and may lead parades at community events..

Adults wishing to become involved should contact the Squadron as detailed in our ' CONTACT ' section. See also our ' ADMINISTRATION ' section for comments from current members of Staff and for a description of the function of the Civilian Committee . Click here for an advert .
