"Yes!!!" was the shouted remark from the staff and cadets when the 2007 wing field competition result was read out. For the Second year running the Cadets had performed magnificently and working as a team, won the Competition. With good results in First Aid, Orienteering, River Crossing and other activities, the cadets were able to maintain a high average and win the competition by just 2 points.

After achieving 7th place last year the cadets gave there all and managed to Win this years event. Cadets took part in many activities including a first aid test, Tug of War, Aircraft Recognition, Orienteering, Field Craft activities and many more.
The staff wish to congratulate all those cadets who took part. lets make sure we retain it next year!......
The weekend was a great sucess coming 1st in orienteering, and consistantly high in all the other events set us in good stead for winning the weekend. We maintained a consistant 2nd, 3rd and 4th position in events such as shooting, tog o war, ostacle courses river crossing and evening exercises. The cadets effort over the weekend was outstanding and the outcome was us winning the Wing field weekend, something that our squadron has not achieved until now. As team leader I am impressed with the way the team were consistantly motivated and always put 110% effort into every event. I am very proud of every member of our wing field team and hope that next year the standards will be even better!!
