LAKOrnamentals:

Bronzed & Verdigris Figurines.

Front of the Unit read below on how they are made and more about cold casting.

This is the Back of the unit where we make all the cold cast Ornaments

History of Bronzes - bronzes have decorated the most luxurious houses for hundreds of years, but hot casting was very expensive using large amouts of metal melted and poured into moulds which took the sculptor weeks or years to make, then days of cleaning and reheating, this is why only the very rich could have them in their homes.

But with cold casting we can produce bronzed figures without the time and expence of hot casting, making them more comprehensively priced, without losing any of the decorative charm.

Making of the Ornaments - first you need the original sculpture which is to be used as the master cast, we then make rubber moulds from this, they are then cast with a mixture of metallic and resin to create a shell, which is then filled with a filling compound. This mix is a secret to each Bronze manufacturer and each using their own method. The figure is then polished and based by hand, after this they only need to be wiped with a clean cloth to keep their polished finish.
