La maison Ames is an excellent base for touring / rambling / canoeing / cycling or just relaxing in the Ardeche- Cevenne-Provence triangle.
Our four bedroom villa is situated in the countryside with a one acre secluded garden, good sized swimming pool and spectacular views including the Cevenne Mountains on the horizon. Many wild flowers grow in the garden alongside herbs including rosemary, thyme and sage.
La Maison Ames is surrounded by lavender fields and vineyards and the 2008 Michelin Tourist & Motoring Atlas marks the road passing by our driveway as a scenic route with panoramic views.
The renaissance town of Barjac is approximately 3 kilometres away and has many interesting restaurants, shops and well preserved narrow cobbled streets which you will enjoy exploring. The market is held on Friday mornings and Medical facilities re doctors/dentists and the firebrigade with paramedics are available in the town.

Car hire is available at Avignon rail station as it is at all of the airports.From Easter 2006 canoe hire is available on the Rivers Ardeche & Ceze. If you fancy a Spring break leaving your car at home besides budget flights mentioned above, there is a good rail link with 3 trains daily from London Waterloo by Eurostar & TGV to Avignon.

Accommodation:
Our large kitchen dining room with lounge area has a well equipped kitchen (with one window overlooking one of the outside dining areas/BBQ & pool. The other window has views of lavenderfields beyond the rosemary hedge and the Cevenne mountains on the hoizon).
The dining table seats eight people & lounge area has two arm chairs and sofa.
Bedroom one. Good sized double bedroom with bedside tables, chest of drawers, wardrobe and two wicker chairs and coffee table.
Door leads to w.c. and small wash hand basin.
Bedroom two. Good sized double bedroom with wardrobe, chest of drawers sofa and chair.

Door from bedroom 2 leads to main showeroom and w.c. which can be accessed by another door for other guests.
Bedroom three has twin beds, bedside tables, wardrobe and wash hand basin.
Bedroom three has a view over garden, rosemary hedge and open countryside,
Bedroom four is a good sized double bedroom with bedside tables, wardrobe and rack of shelves with a good selection of books.
Bedroom four has a view over the north east side of the garden and has a wash hand basin and shower within the bedroom.
North side of the garden can be viewed from windows of bedrooms 3 & 4
