The updates to the general rules and regulations and the foursomes rules, along with the Scratch & Handicap draws, will be posted as soon as they are available.

Change of Name

After 27 years of being known as the Harper Salver, the committee have decided to change the name of the competition to The West of England Amateur Open Championship for the Harper Salver.

As this is the only competition in the west of England to qualify for EWGA points we felt that the competition deserved a new and more impressive title.

The original sponsors are no longer involved with the competition and we are very grateful to Diney Costeloe for her kind sponsorship and also to Gloucestershire Ladies' County Golf Association for their additional funding.

As usual the competition will be held at Bath Golf Club on Sunday 14th June 2009 and I look forward to receiving plenty of entries from our local girls in Somerset and Gloucestershire.
