6" Scale iron castings The 6" scale design uses the 3" drawings doubled. The boiler is available complete from Bell Boilers (Wayne Bell) or AJB Engineering (Tony Baldwin). NOTE: The flywheel, back wheels and front wheels weigh 27kg, 62kg, and 25 kg each respectively. When cast the back wheels are 29.5" in diameter and the front wheels 20.5" in diameter. The wheels are also available in high tensile aluminium, the weights being 26 kg and 9.5 g each. It is anticipated that all the 6" scale wheel castings will be collection only. The diffential bevel set is cast from machine cut aluminium patterns for maximum accuracy. Little Samson Models endevours to have atleast one set of 6" castings in Stock. |
