The 'Foster' lubricators are assembled in true scale lost wax castings, with hinged lids. They are beatifully made. The oil supply may be altered to give 3 rates of delivery. The mechanism uses a pawl and ratchet mechanism and has a handwheel for hand cranking.

They are more expensive than the 'economy' lubricator but are recommended for conoiseur building the 'true scale' model, or where extended service or greater reliability is sought.
