We thought we might write a list of some of our favourite books, separated into sections, hopefully adding links to where you can get them...

Christian Books

Here are some of the most useful and interesting books I have come across:-

Christian Living

• "Discipleship" by David Watson
• "The Screwtape Letters" (letters from a senior to a junior devil) by C S Lewis

Devotional

• "What Happens When Women Pray" by Evelyn Christenson
• "I Will Up Lift Mine Eyes" by Glenn Clark
• For Daily Reading & Bible Study:- RBC (Radio Bible Class) produce a series of useful study pamphlets on all kinds of spiritual & life issues. They also produce daily Bible reading notes, called Our Daily Bread

Despite this short list, I am an avid reader but with limited funds. I will gladly receive Christian books (especially classics) for review and return, and add them to this list. I would also be interested in exchanging books. e-mail with details:- littlebears@tesco.net

homeschooling and parenting

Non-Christian Books

• "The Next learning system: why home educators are trailblazers" by Roland Meighan
• "Learning All the Time" by John Holt
• "You don't have to send your child to school"

Bookshops and Secondhand shops

I tend to look in bookshops, but end up not being able to afford to buy books new!

Look in your local second hand bookshops as well as charity (thrift) shops:-
