I recently discovered the horrendous truth that abortion is legal in the US now right up until and including birth, legally termed "partial birth abortion" (ie a full-term, fully developed baby being born at 40 weeks gestation is allowed by law to be killed . Although this is currently limited to medical 'necessity', there are disturbing moves afoot to allow partial birth abortion on demand. Do not underestimate the brutality of this practise: this is no painless injection - the baby has to be removed feet first and killed before the head is born since US law considers a baby only 'born' once the head is born.
PLEASE PRAY THAT THIS EVIL PRACTISE WILL BE OUTLAWED
This discovery has led me to research the situation in the UK and I turned up some incredible information:-
Did you know that abortion is not actually legal in the UK, something that the "pro-choice" people won't tell you. That's the theory.
However, in practise, the reality of course is that abortion is effectively available on demand, since what the law does allow is "immunity from prosecution" if two doctors "in good faith" believe that it's in the woman's best interests. There are a number of criteria allowed. However, the law was changed in 1990 to allow immunity from prosecution for abortions right up till birth even in this country (eg in the case of disability)!

Student Life Net has these at http://www.studentlifenet.org.uk/News/AbortionNews/LatestAbortionStatistics.htm However, these figures show only those over 20 weeks. I don't know exactly how many full term abortions there are in this country.
