Little Bears Family Homeschool

Timetable
Introduction
Although many of the home educators I have spoken to have not been using a timetable at all, (especially in the UK), since we are new at this business, we felt it might be useful to have a timetable as a guide, but we don't necessarily intend to keep to it rigidly. However, I feel that for my part, if I am not self-disciplined with my time, I am likely to get totally lost with homeschooling!
The following, therefore, is our intended timetable for infant primary school (ages 5 - 7) For details of our pre-school timetable, take a look at our pre-school programme. Bear in mind that we are constantly developing our programme, and so the timetable is subject to change!
You are most welcome to use or amend this timetable for your own use
If you, like me, find it difficult to follow a time-table, and feel that the day is hopelessly lost if I don't manage to fit things in at their appointed time, help is at hand! Take a look at the "routine" we've been developing (which includes where to fit the house-work in!)

NOTES
Meals and snacks:- We will be aiming to get to breakfast at 7:30 am this term (God willing!), with a snack break for 'elevenses' after our morning dose of fresh air around 11:00 am (we'll take a snack with us for the Nature-walk on Wednesdays) and then lunch around 12:30, another small snack with story-time at 4:00 pm to keep us going until Dinner around 5:30 pm. "Supper" doesn't always happen in our household, but those who are still hungry just before bed have cereal at about 7:00pm (in the hope that they'll be able to last the night....)
Bible Reading:- We have decided to have 'devotions' as well as our 'Bible Story', so now we are using "Keys for Kids" after breakfast, and at the moment we're still going through Catherine Vos' "Child's Story Bible'.
