You may have noticed that I've been trying to find a little Bible verse to start each page. When I searched in my concordance for something relating to "village" meeting place, this was the best I could come up with, but I think it's quite funny (it's actually talking about a wicked man):
"He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages..." Psalm 10:8
So I thought that a verse on a Christian meeting place would be more appropriate:-
"I will enter His gates with
thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter His courts with praise, I
will say this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice
for He has made me glad"
(From
a chorus based on Psalm 100:4)
Up until recently I was helping out at our local Brownie pack (we didn't actually meet in a "Village Hall" - Milton Keynes has "Local Meeting Places"), and before that I was with Oxhey 9th in Watford, and I nearly had my arm twisted to go and help out with Cubs as well! I enjoyed helping out with Brownies, but I decided to put it on the 'back burner' while I devote more of my time and energies to my family (and church family).
I'll be doing some checking to see what else goes on around here & add some links as soon as I find them!
