The School Week...

Lowlands Nursery School

The Curriculum:

The children at Lowlands are taught the six areas of learning known as "The

Desirable Learning Outcomes", as laid down in the Government's National

Curriculum.

Monday morning is swimming

The displays in the school form the basis of topic work and discussion with the class. Children also make a special item each week, we hope that this proves to be a talking point between the child and their parents.

Each day of the week has an

additional attraction:

On Tuesdays children take part in gymnastics or music and in the afternoon there is a visit to the library.

Wednesday is cooking day

During Thursday afternoon children have the opportunity to practice ballet and dance with our ballet teacher.

Friday morning is music morning or gymnastics.

Parents are always welcome at the school. Emphasis is placed on building a

caring and sharing community where children learn to value themselves and each other.
