BRECKLAND LEPIDOPTERA |
|||||
| Breckland is an important area for Lepidoptera, supporting a number of nationally rare species of moth. These include Tawny Wave, Grey Carpet, Marbled Clover, Bordered Gothic and the micro-moth Coleophora tricolor. Although there are a good number of butterfly species represented in the area, Breckland does not support populations of any of the rarest species. So, while the butterflies are of interest in their own right, it is the moth species that have attracted the most attention. | |||||
