endor2.JPG (16074 bytes)   ENDOR, in the remote Endor system, was the scene of the Emperor's final destruction.

Situated in the Modell sector, the planet is a silvery gas giant with nine moons. The biggest of these moons is the size of a small planet and is known as either The Forest Moon, The Sanctuary Moon or just Endor.

The planet is peaceful and lush, with forests, savannas and mountains. Its wildlife includes Endoran Ponies, Teeks, Condor Dragons, Yootaks and of course Ewoks.

Ewoks live in the lifetrees which can reach 1,000 metres high, although they are good engineers and have built their own ground-based homes. Each tribe has a shamen to explain mystical signs.

Their main enemy is the Gorax, which can swoop on them in the trees. West of the forest is a vast grassland called Dragon's Pelt. Alien invaders built a stone castle there and use the dim-witted Blurrgs to assist with raids.

When the Empire built its second Death Star it placed an Imperial Base on the moon and a protective shield for the new space station.

However the Rebels found it and Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia helped to destroy the shield, and in turn the Death Star.

They did not find it easy though, and had to fight off Stormtroopers on speeders with the help of an Ewok tribe.

endor3.JPG (22122 bytes) It is said that a cloud of Dark Side energy now resides over the area where the Death Star was destroyed, a legacy of the Emperor's death.
