Feb 16 ATTACK of the Clones is one week away from being finished. Producer Rick McCullum told the official site reels two was complete, while reels one, three and four were virtually there.

He added: "It's Hell from now on, but it's a good Hell."  Dubbing for foreign versions is also to start soon, as unlike the other movies, there is a global release date of May 16.

The site added: With each week, a reel of Episode II is printed onto film, and examined as projected. During their stint in London, Lucas and McCallum would review printed film finishes and provide feedback to ILM. Industrial Light & Magic is busily working on the final 450 effects shots of the film, bringing in an average of 50 a week."

Feb 15 STAR Trek fans can expect plenty of extras when Star Trek: The Next Generation Season Two DVD set comes out on May 7.

Cinescape said: "There are two documentaries, one looking over the season as a whole with Gene Roddenberry, and another going behind the scenes with Rick Berman, and a tour of sets and props. The discs have also been supped-up from their original versions, now sporting 5.1 Dolby Digital sound. All this for only $124.99."

ANTHONY Daniels will be the Master of Ceremonies for Star Wars Celebration II, May 3, 4, and 5 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the MC for the previous Celebration in 1999 in Denver,

The official site said Daniels will host what will involve numerous Star Wars events, activities, displays, demonstrations and contests.

It added: "Over the course of the three-day Celebration, Daniels will host a wide variety of interviews with many of the stars and crew who bring the Star Wars galaxy to life, helping fans get to know a little more about their favorite actors and artists. Fans will see film clips and presentations from some of the technical wizards behind the saga, and learn how it's all done."

Feb 14 WONDERING what the perfect Valentine's gift could be?

Lingerie, chocolates, flowers maybe? If all of them fail it's still doubtful you could surprise your loved one with a Star Wars Valetine's card. However, a word of warning, unless your beloved normally dresses up in a white gown with two buns on the side of her head, it's probably best stick to the first ideas. If you insist though, here they are.

ANYONE going to New York for the American International Toy Fair is in for an early peek at the product line of Star Wars toys and games from Hasbro.

Within the Hasbro showroom, there will be a Star Wars room packed with new toys from the forthcoming film. The official site has several glimpses of the new figures and scene-shots from Attack of the Clones.Among the figures are' Count Dooku and Obi-Wan, plus photos of a new Super Battle Droid.

THE official site has also been updated with more information about the Death Star, and all the various nasty folk who lived inside. Check out Admiral Motti and co here.

Feb 12 Right, well that's what you call a hibernation! Things are back up and running now, and we're all busy making preparations for this year's show, which will again be held in September at Highfield Holiday Park.

Jan 1 HAPPY new year! Here's to a great 2002, with a new Star Wars and Star Trek movie, and with any luck a more peaceful place to enjoy those kind of things.

You may have noticed a lack of activity in the last few weeks, and apologies for that. The site is undergoing a bit of a shake-up and you should be able to see the results in the next few weeks.

In the meantime, Star Wars has been voted the greatest soundtrack of all time by the esteemed listeners of Classic FM. There were 43,000 votes and composer John Williams scored (get it?) highly, with four entries in the top 30, with Schindler's List (15th), Raiders of The Lost Ark (24th) and ET (29th). Go here for the full list.

For anyone who missed it, there's a rather good animation of the Fett family over at the official Star Wars site, complete with Boba jnr unwrapping his pressies. There has also been a MTV e-mail doing the rounds which shows a boy unwrapping his presents, only to find a lightsaber there. In his joy he lights it up, not realising it's real, and proceeds to slide his granny in half... very funny if you can get hold of it.
