                 Action Figures

mace.JPG (7671 bytes)              One of the first figures to be released for The Phantom Menace, Mace Windu appeared in a new-style boxed packaging. The new figures will revert to the traditional carded packaging. There is no mention of the film's title here, just Episode One, which, among other things, led to speculation that Phantom Menace was a working title and no more.

stap.JPG (15178 bytes)  The Stap and Battle Droid was the very first figure to come from the house of Lucas for the new movie. These are the film's equivilent of Stormtroopers, the Stap being the vehicle and the droid being the driver. They belong to the Trade Federation and this version possesses a neat laser missile which can be fired. Again no mention of The Phantom Menace in the packaging.

And of course Star Wars wouldn't be Star Wars without the 3.5ins figures. These are the first batch to be released but there will be more of collections 1-3 put out during the year, including a Jedi-looking Anakin.

Update... A new batch has been released in America, there is also an extremely limited version of Yoda with no Episode 1 anywhere on the packaging I've seen.

These are the equivilant of Beanie Babies in Star Wars mode. It's fairly safe to assume they are unofficial merchandise, but they do look quite cool.

Called Farce Wars - The Fantom Beanies, they're made by The Idea Factory, out of New York. And so, without further ado, may I introduce:
