There's something irresistable about this guide. And it's not that it manages to cram every damn piece of information you could ever need into it. It also happens to look very cool, be stunningly simple to use and have a plethora of pictures, details and sketches of everything from the underwater world of Naboo to what the Sith Infiltrater's good points are. Even the hover buttons where you chose where to go are wonderful. Having said all this you are really only going to appreciate all this if you are truly sad and want to know every little thing about Lucas et al, and I can't think why you wouldn't. Side one goes through characters, (characters and groups/aliens), The Phantom Menace (scene by scene, posters and trailers), location (Tatooine, Naboo and Coruscant). Each is literally packed with more detail than you will ever need and each offers its own trivia question, many of which are pretty tricky, although you can re-set it and look like you know what you're talking about - Side two is equally as good, if not better. If this is worth buying for one thing alone, then it has to be the glossary, an almost comprehensive list of everything Star Wars. Coupled with that are details about the forthcoming films, which are surprisingly frank given Lucas' normal zeal for secrecy. There is also a behind the scenes with 20 further options to choose from and an expanded universe of books, magazines and toys. As you have possibly gleaned by now, there isn't much been missed out here. And at £20 this is arguably far better value than many of the SW games available now.
