TO many Michael Sheard is Admiral Ozzel, the Imperial officer who met his untimely end at the hands of Darth Vader. But Michael has a whole string of sci-fi films behind him. And on top of that millions of children grew up knowing him as Mr Bronson, the terrifying teacher from the hit drama show Grange Hill whose cries of "You boy!" became almost legendary. In 1980 he appeared as Admiral Ozzel in The Empire Strikes Back, playing an Imperial officer who was "as clumsy as he is stupid" and whose mistake alerted the Rebels to an Imperial prescence on the ice planet of Hoth. Outside of Star Wars, Michael also appeared in two Indiana Jones films, playing Hitler in The Last Crusade, and has appeared with more Doctors than any other actor in the BBC series Dr Who. In addition he has been in more than 800 television shows, 38 movies and was in Space: 1999. ADMIRAL OZZEL Admiral Ozzel was the Imperial Navy officer in command of the Imperial Death Squadron just prior to the Battle of Hoth. Ozzel, described as a by-the-manual type officer with little imagination, initially disregarded Captain Piett's report of life-signs in the Hoth system But when Vader followed the lead Ozzel then managed to bring the Imperial fleet out of hyperspace too close to the system. That meant the Rebels could put up a protective shield and forced the Empire to mount a costly ground invasion. Vader was unimpressed and using the Force, Vader telekinetically strangled Ozzel, and placed Captain Piett in command of the fleet.
