Who We Are

The Leverington Unit started in June 1991.

We celebrated our 10th Birthday with a 10-part challenge and a Teddy Bears' Picnic - complete with Teddy Cushions, banners, picnic boxes, and of course, our Teddies.

When a new Rainbow joins the Unit she makes her own "hands of friendship" out of coloured card.  These "hands" are then used to surround a Rainbow as part of our opening ceremony, at the start of each meeting.

When We Meet

Meetings are held one evening per week during term time.

What Does It Cost ?

Subscriptions are £1 per week (regardless of attendance) to cover all expenses. There is a yearly subscription to the Guide Association which you would be informed of as required.

Is There A Uniform ?

Our Rainbow Guides wear a RED tabard (available from Evison's, High Street, WISBECH). The tabards are dual-purpose - to indicate 'belonging' and as a protection when involved in 'messy' activities. Rainbows can wear a green baseball cap, a green Rainbow Guide T-shirt or green shorts if they wish.
