Rainbow Guides are the youngest members of The Guide Association in the UK. They are between 5 and 7 years old.
Rainbows take their name from the story of Noah and the Ark. After the rains had ceased and Noah had left the Ark, God made a Rainbow as a sign of his Promise to Noah.

Any girl over the age of 5 (4 in Ulster) can become a Rainbow Guide as long as she is able to understand, and wants to make, the Rainbow Guide Promise.
Rainbow Guides meet together in units of between 5 and 15 girls. A girl will usually spend between 1 and 2 years in the Rainbow unit.
What do Rainbow Guides do?
Rainbow Guides have fun!
They take part in all sorts of activities.
They play games, paint and make things, listen to stories, sing songs, learn about nature and their environment and do many more activities both in and out of doors.
In whatever they do, Rainbows explore, share and discover.
They have their own adventures and at the same time learn to be kind and helpful.
Many of the activities aim to develop each girl at a pace which suits her and are based on the Five Essentials of Guiding.
