Activities / Achievements
2004 January - We started the year by making Rainbow Apple Trees. The Rainbows cut out a red apple for each member of their family. We made Helping Hands to remind us of our promise.
For Chinese New Year we made monkey badges and played a chopstick relay, and all the girls were given red and gold purses to take home.
February - We held a "glittery" daffodils meeting to remind us that Spring was just around the corner (Many Thanks to our Young Leader) For World Thinking Day we joined the District for a 3rd World Lunch of bread and water, followed by a short church service where we used our new Promise wording for the 1st time.
March - St David's Day was celebrated by making "friendly" red dragon models. We are taking part in Take Your Daughters to Work, which has been modified to allow members from all sections to participate. We have arranged visits from a vicar, nursing tutor and a policewoman and our mums have sent in daily worksheets for us to talk about.
We have arranged a visit to a local caterer after Easter and hope to visit a garden centre.
On Mother's Day during the church service we will give out our gifts of laminated handprint pictures.
