Five minutes walk down the lane is the village of Aveton Gifford with thirteenth century Norman church, post-office stores, a pub, village green and tennis courts. The No.93 bus passes through, connecting Plymouth with Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. Visit the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, or experience a day trip to the newly-opened The Eden Project, only 90 minutes away by car.

A tidal road runs from the village to Bigbury and walkers can enjoy car-free days exploring the Avon Estuary Walk, which gives access to the South Devon Coastal Paths. These are largely National Trust owned, and offer miles and miles of spectacular views and lookout points.

We are 7 miles from Salcombe, 8 miles from Dartmoor and only 4 miles from beautiful sandy beaches at Bigbury-on-Sea and Bantham.
