25th ANNIVERSARY

Linda Aberdeen cuts the cake at the Chelmsford Folk Dancers 25th anniversary dance

In 1996 the club held its 25th Anniversary.  Members were asked to contribute articles to be put together into a commemorative booklet.

A number of these help to give an insight into the atmosphere of the club.  After the Dance - a walk in the wild (Brian Howe) and Chelmsford Folk Dance Club song (Sandy Smith) were also "Borrowed" from the booklet.

    Anyone may come to our dances, we do not insist that you bring a partner.  However the numbers tend to be unbalanced with often more ladies than gentlemen present.  To overcome this predicament, many ladies take the Gentlemans role, this can lead to confusion as is explained here.
