The Set-Up

This is the kit (or set) I'm playing at the moment, but without the 16" x 16" tom-tom and a couple of cymbals. Something to do with getting older, particularly when faced with lots of
steps to carry all the gear up!! Below is a list
of the equipment I use, and ask for when I need a kit to be supplied, especially abroad. That way I can have all the gear I want without (hopefully!) having to carry the damn stuff! (See
the last paragraph.)

1 x HI-HAT PEDAL |
5 x BOOM CYMBAL STANDS (With all felts, sleeves, washers and wing nuts.) ALL CYMBAL STANDS TO HAVE 'SINGLE LEGS', NOT ' double braced legs', which make them very heavy, and take up a lot of space around the set. |
1 x STOOL (with centre thread, to avoid any very unpleasant surprises!) |
1 x PIECE OF FOAM BACKED CARPET (regular carpet slips) at least 2 metre (6ft.) square, to put drums on, to prevent slipping, unless the stage or bandstand is carpeted. |
ALL DRUMS to have all heads (skins) in good condition without tape stuck all over them, not broken in any way, and no drums with only one head (skin). Remo 'Ambassador' clear heads (skins), top and bottom please. |
CASES TO BE PROVIDED if any travel with drum kit (set) is expected. |
NO DRUM 'RACKS' OR TOM-TOM STANDS (except for floor toms only) UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, PLEASE!! |
My cymbals
are Sabian, which I consider to be the finest, 1 pair of 13 inch HH Hi-Hats.*
