Here is a lovely picture of the Duomo in Florence.   Montecatini was the destination for an Italian holiday this year. The weather was warm and somewhat humid but that did not stop many of us from getting out and about to places like Florence, Pisa, Siena, Lucca and Pistoia as well as taking the funicular up to Monticatini Alto for some spectacular views of Tuscany.

The hotel was very central in Montecatini, with easy access to the train and bus stations. It was wonderful to be able to walk out at night after the bridge and find the shops still open and night life in full swing in the bars and cafes, or to sit on the hotel terrace to discuss the evening's bridge.

Our next holiday was in Scotland and we had super weather. Scotland's scenery was magnificent.  Do look at the pictures of Loch Lomond and the surrounding areas.
