The Mark I was a 'proof of concept' - a genuine prototype to test the water. It functioned perfectly well, but wasn't much of a looker - with a clunky rectangular treatment in front of the mirror, an ugly mounting bracket at the same end, and unseemly gaps between the lower screen edge and the scuttle...

The design brief for the Mark II was to sort out the area in front of the mirror - and also to mount the mirror more securely itself, and devise suitable mounts and positions for the Road Angel and Sigma bike computer.

Without any further bush-beating, here it is:

Compare the 'mirror treatment' to this on the Mk I...

You should notice that the edge-section now swoops down in a flowing curve - rather than being as square as a brick. You might also notice that the edge-piece also curves back towards the mirror rather than crossing the car at right-angles as before.

The effect is more pleasing on the eye - but hopefully just as effective in aerodynamic terms. It's a little hard to tell from the following two pictures, but the new screen starts further forward and doesn't stand quite so upright as the Mk I - time will tell if this degrades the amount of air being scooped out of the way:

On to the details...
