Older pictures - before powder-coating... Details:The AR7E TD Wheelrack is engineered in 38mm steel tube to match the roll-bar. The wheels are secured to the rack by removable studs for flexibility and ease of storage - custom studs will be available to enable single-wheel 'stacks' to be carried if a full-set of four wheels is not required (e.g. if your road and track tyres are the same). It is also anticipated that the studs will be developed to incorporate variable spacers to enable the rack to be used with varying tyre/wheel widths etc. Two large loops are provided underneath the rack in order to facilitate the use of cable locks or straps (i.e. for static security - the bolt-down design should mean that straps are not necessary for security while driving). Ultimately, the rack can be converted into a flexible luggage/tyre rack (either full-width luggage rack, or a 50/50 combination of luggage and wheels). Commercial details are not available yet, but if anyone is interested in obtaining an AR7E rack, please let us know. |
