The Northumbria Coalition Against Crime seeks a dynamic leader to take the organisation into its second decade.

The Coalition is highly a successful crime prevention partnership involving the private, public and voluntary sectors. With a staff of 10 it runs a number of major projects throughout the North East with particular emphasis on retail and business crime and crime reduction projects involving young people.

The successful candidate will be able to work with people at all levels and have a wide range of skills. These will include business management, fundraising, project management and strategic planning.

Based at Northumbria Police HQ this is an unusual opportunity to be part of organisation working with others to make the area a safer place to live and work.

Principle objectives:
¨ To develop and promote the Coalition and its services throughout the region.
¨ To develop and manages its projects to reduce and prevent crime
¨ To increase and retain membership of the Coalition and North East Retail Crime Partnership
¨ Efficient management of the Coalition's PR and profile.
¨ Ensuring Coalition has funding in place to achieve its objectives and projects
¨ Efficient and effective management of the finances of the Coalition
