Langhorn Thornton
Langhorn was born 18 August 1828 in Pollington, and baptised 7 September 1828 at Snaith. He was a canal labourer working on the Aire & Calder and living at one of the Bridge Houses in Heck.
He married Susanna Simpson (born 1829 in Darrington) 9 September 1850 at Darrington. They had 8 children:
Langhorn drowned in the Aire & Calder on 21 May 1892, Susanna died a few months later. They are buried in Hensall chiurchyard.
