Mary Garland (1799 - 1868) of Netherwood Hall married John Webster, farmer of Hemingfield, by license on 26 April 1831 at Darfield. Witnesses were Sophia Garland, Mary's sister and Samuel Swift jr who was later to marry another sister, Ann. It is recorded that in 1851 John was a farmer of 68 acres; John's widowed mother Sarah was living with the family by this time.
John and Mary had 7 known children:
In 1834 John was a witness at Sophia Garland's wedding to William Wood of Wombwell.
John died in 1864, and Mary in 1868.
