Circulating issues are known as verkehrsausgaben.
For many years, I wondered why I could not find certain notes,
that appeared to be similar to the serienscheine notes,
in the LINDMAN catalog. Some appeared to be in nice sets, very
similar to the serienscheine types. Reason; the notes were
verkehrsausgaben and not serienscheine. It still
confuses me today when I see a set of coloured uncirculated notes
I know I don't have in my collection, but the rule seems to be:
'if it is not in the
LINDMAN catalog, it is not serienscheine'. This is
especially important with reference to the dates referenced in
the said catalog. Some of the notes look almost exactly the
same, but the date may be different to the one stated in the
serienscheine catalogue or they may have a signature overprint
or stamp mark on them, which again places them in these
different categories. Many of the small card pieces, issued by
private concerns (could be baker shops, cloth manufacturers etc.)
will be verkehrsausgaben. See link below for more information
and more images.
