Football Manager - Addictive Games (1984)

Take control of your team and inspire them to win the English Division 1 title and the FA Cup!  Of course, you have to start in Division 4 and work your way up but that’s all part of the fun.  I first played this as a very inexperienced computer user in the summer of 1984 on the school’s BBC Micro and I was amazed.  By the time I bought it in December 1986, it had lost some of it’s shine but by then I’d had a whole year with a proper computer!  The teams and players can be edited but the match displays are a bit naff.  Where else can you buy Kevin Keegan for £10,000?
