The Master of Magic - Mastertronic.A.D. (1985)

Whilst exploring caves you are dragged through a pool of water by the hand of Thelric, the Master of Magic.  He will only return you home if you can recover the Amulet of Immortality.  This means tackling vampires, hellhounds, orcs and other monsters in a strange underworld with just your fighting prowess and a couple of spells to help you..  This stylish budget game has music to die for - Rob Hubbard has programmed a tune oozing in atmosphere - in fact, my favourite Commodore 64 tune ever!
