The Latest News as at 25/9/99

NEW - Daniel is now sufficiently confident walking that he often chooses, without our encouragement, to cover distances of several metres by walking upright, unsupported. He no longer needs to skip from one hand hold to another, he just walks where ever his curiosity takes him.

NEW - Daniel now has FOUR teeth showing. He has pronounced Daddy, although I am not sure of the context, he has approximated several words (daddy, hello, mum) in the right context showing he is learning what they mean. Daniel last weighed in at 9.06Kg. See Daniel's Growth Chart
Note ... Average line is when 50% of normal babies weigh less than the line, 1/4 average is when 25% of normal babies weigh less than the line. Dad took over at week 22. Daniel was breastfead until weaning started at week 12.

SPECIAL STOP PRESS!! - 27/9/99 - Daniel woke me up this morning by shouting at me, when I opened my eyes, looked over and said hello to him he responded with "Daddy!!" and a big smile.

NEW - I must apologise for the lack of updates to this page for the last week or so. My excuse is that the babycam pictures were too cute to take down and I have been working away at my PC to develop its Internet capabilities and to put up a NEW WEB SITE. The new site is a Babylon 5 fan site and part of the Warner Brothers ACMECITY community. The address is http://babylon5.acmecity.com/centauri/211/

I will start study for an MA Archaeology at Reading in October. I have begun reading for the course. Click Here for my list of desired books. I've discovered a name for what I am doing and my biggest problem. A father who looks after the children at home and works/studies using a computer and communicates on-line is a TELEHUBBY. The biggest Telehubby problem is that, without any contractual commitments for your daily routine there is so much you could do and so many different ways you might go about it that it takes half the day just to decide what to do and in what order. This is called OPTION PARALYSIS.

I've got a load of new photographs of Daniel which I hope to scan soon, but unless someone wants to come and look after Daniel I don't know when I can.

I am in the process of opening a new P.Ingram Home only my CV has moved there at present but I plan to put the projects I am involved with there, more to come soon. This new site is free from LYCOS (Tripod) and you may encounter some advertising when going there - the same goes for the Guestbook.

You can e-mail Daniel, although he may take some time reading it.

BABYCAM PICTURES FROM THIS WEEK

RHUBARB DISASTER - The hopelessly incompetent electricity company managed to fail to supply any electricity for 17 hours on Friday. I think I have to chuck away the entire contents of the freezer as it may have partly defrosted, this includes all the Rhubarb I was hoping to cook and the Strawberries Angelique was hoping to make Jam with. The address for messages of sympathy is rhubarb.rhubarb@ingram.telinco.co.uk
