So what is a Christian?

A Christian is someone who beleives that Jesus was God's Son, that He was killed because of the wrong things we do so that we can be forgiven and that He came back to life again so we can know Him. A Christian lives to please God in everything and trusts Jesus to help them.

What is the Bible?

The Bible is God's book. It was written over thousands of years by men who were guided by God as to what to write down. This is how we can know what God is like and what He wants us to do.

But I can't see God or Jesus!

This is difficult for some people. You can't see air but you know it is there. You can't see electricity but you can see what it can do. It is the same with God. You can't see Him but we can know He is there and we can see the things He does.

So what should I do?

God wants us to have a happy life with Him. He wants to let us live with Him forever. But we can't live the way God wants on our own. We are always doing things that are wrong. That's why Jesus died on the cross all those years ago. He took the punishment that we deserve for the wrong things we do, say and think about. God will forgive us for these if we beleive that Jesus did die for each of us. We need to trust what God tells us in the Bible. We need to trust that God loves us even when we are bad.

You can ask Jesus right now to show you how to live right. You can pray - that means talk to God. Don't worry if it seems like you are talking to yourself, God will hear you. Just beleive that He does hear you. Tell Him that you are sorry for the bad things you do and say and ask Him to forgive you. Ask that you might be able to accept what Jesus did for you and ask Jesus to be your guide in life. Make a promise that from now on, you will try to do the things God wants.
