Prayer for Daily Life Oh Lord, when everyone and everything around me knows nothing and cares nothing for Your love and kindness, when the cares of the world blot out that wonderful light of Your saving grace, when everyday life puts a huge gulf between the things of the world and the things of You - things You want to give me and for me to enjoy, in the dark, depressing areas of this life and in the midst of the most heartbreaking stress, let me know your presence and your loving arms around me, to comfort me and protect me. Let me have the faith that can see past the world's cares and look only to you and your paths, Oh Jesus, my Lord and my God. Amen.
