From a local viewpoint, this page will provide you with links to a variety of boardgames-related sites, local, national and international. Games playing is my hobby, and I have also produced a small strategic game that is avilable from this site, and direct from me in Ashburton.

Board Games - many people have mixed feelings about them. But we have all played them at some time. Monopoly, Cluedo, Trivial Pursuit etc. These are all games that I do not play. Not because they are necessarily bad games, but because there are better games available. The names of the games I do play may not be familiar to you, but there is a wealth of excellent board games avilable now in the area that originate in Germany, France, and the USA to name a few of the major producing countries.

Games such as Samurai, Union Pacific, Stephensons Rocket. Children's games, Family games, Hard games, Easy games. Long games and Short games. The games industry in Germany is huge, and playing board games there is a common and sociable way of spending an evening with friends.

One evening each week I go to the Community Centre in Exeter to play board games with a group who share my interest in these games. A selection of these games are avialable to purchase from a shop in Totnes called Dice 'n' Duel, but if you are interested in coming along to one of these evenings to try out some of these fascinating games, then please contact me - I would be happy to introduce you to the group, and they would enjoy introducing you to some of these games. We normally start around 7.30 ish and finish around 10.30 on each Wednesday evening.
