The
Tenor was recast in Loughborough on 31st December 1847, and rung for the first
time on 7th January 1848. The latter being the day the Patron of the church,
the Earl of Stamford, came of age. The original bell was cast by William Noone of Nottingham in 1690,
and was 39.5" in diameter, and weighed 10cwt 3qtr 24lbs.
