The History
Boston Hockey Club was established back in the mid 1960s with the ladies section being established by the Grant twins with the mens section being formed a few years later. During the mid 1970s, Boston Hockey Club mens side were feared throughout Lincolnshire as they won two consecutive Lincolnshire Club Championships. In 1990 Boston moved from their old grass pitches at the Mayflower Sports & Social Club to a new Astroturf across the road. With the East League being created in 1990s for the men, Boston entered this league with the Ladies joining the newly created Green League and winning that twice during that decade. The start of the 21st century has proved to be extremely successful for the club with the ladies being promoted from the Lincolnshire Green League into the East League, the Mens first XI winning Division 4NW and the Mens second XI winning Division 5NW a season after being promoted from Division 6NW. The Junior U-13 Mixed won the inaugural Lincolnshire Mixed League in season 2004/05. A new Youth Development XI (3rd Team) was created for season 2006/2007, playing in the East Mens League, finishing with a very respectable fifth place with the ladies team being reformed in the same season after a year out.
