Traffic Congestion Charging Recent public documents on congestion charging were discussed and noted that deadline for comments was 5 Jan 2004. Agreed that submission should be sent noting regret over lack of more detailed information and concern over potential local effects (ie Pilrig becoming a rat run and site for commuter parking). |

Trams Noted that there was little specific response to our comments. Report on recent meeting re this. Noted that by 12 Dec Council intend to have full approval of this to be forwarded for a Parliamentary Bill which will take approx 3 years. Only further action at this stage. |

Friends of Pilrig Park Report back on recent meeting. Good mix of representatives. Considered bet to continue to keep this under the umbrella of PRA and separate later if this becomes best for funding etc. |

Funding to PRA received for Consultants to appraise youth recreation need in Pilrig area of £5,000. The appraisal is required to seed access to further funding for grants for facilities. Ultimate funders may be New Opportunities Fund, EEP, MELA. Agreed that authority delegated to HT and SM, NH and JS to assist. |

The works on the playground are to progress by early summer. Continuing concern was noted about dog fouling. |
