Tips and Ideas How To Find Us

This Easter Kim was invited to join her French family for a holiday and we decided to deliver her. The first stop was to deliver the dog, who we realised rather late in the day was not booked into kennels. Then on to London to stay with Sue's Father.

The weather was glorious and on the first evening in London we went for a short walk by the Thames. Petersham / Ham has a nice little stretch of the river and we found lots to watch as the light faded.

Well all good things come to an end and it was time to move on, but not before Felicity had had her goodbye picture. (She took some rather better ones of us). Felicity
Despite reports and warnings about the number of people on the road, (we set off early), the journey to Dover still only took 2 hours. Luckily we were able to catch an earlier boat. setting off
The journey across was great. For the first time ever we were not subjected to very expensive food, thanks to the policy of keeping the McDonalds franchise on the ex Stena boats.
A P&O ferry Docking The journey home was a different matter. It was a P&O boat. We made the mistake of trying their equivalent (First Base), which was far more expensive and quite revolting.
The interesting thing was their attitude when we decided to complain about the cold, over priced, low quality food. We were astonished to find that some people prefer it.
Still we made use of the High Mark Up Duty Free Shopping facilities.
Next stop was near Ely in Cambridgeshire to stay with Rosemary, Richard and family. Not quite sure how Richard evaded the camera, particularly as he took the picture of Rosemary. Scampi was delighted to see us, but is going to miss being treated like Royalty.
